“The Pressroom, New Venue in Downtown Phoenix Warehouse District Opens TONIGHT”
The Pressroom, a 14,000 square foot event venue with full liquor license and state-of-the-art audio/visual equipment, “officially” opens its doors tonight with a Scandalesque performance followed by DJ dance party.
Phoenix, AZ – February 14, 2014 – Official opening of The Pressroom, a former printing press turned premier event venue, is tonight. Built in the 1920’s, the 14,000 square foot, red brick building is located in the heart of the downtown Phoenix Warehouse District at 441 W. Madison Street. Talented burlesque troupe, Scandalesque will be performing, followed by a DJ dance party. This is a 21+ event.
With a full liquor license, indoor 1000+ person capacity and ample outdoor space, the venue will accommodate a variety of uses and events including concerts and performing arts and private rentals. It serves as a great example of adaptive reuse in the urban core, and the close proximity to public transportation and freeways make The Pressroom accessible to all.
Partners Jason Charles and Narender Raju have extensive backgrounds in events and entertainment. Charles also owns Latest Craze Productions and Raju, RSVP Special Events. The two have talked about opening their own venue for many years with the goal of providing a full-service experience to those coming in to utilize and rent the space. Now that dream is a reality.
“Downtown Phoenix is ready for more entertainment options.” says Charles. “We’re excited to bring our passion and expertise to the community and look forward to providing a great experience.”
